Muhammad Ali v. Joe Frazier “The Fight Of The Century” Montage 1971

This is probably a unique piece of boxing memorabilia – I have never seen another;  it recalls the first ever fight between the two (and at the time) undefeated boxers for the World Heavyweight Title, now referred to as “The Fight of the Century”.

Held on March 8 1971 between Muhammad Ali ( now sadly passed ) and Joe Frazier, it went the full 15 rounds before Frazier was declared the winner on points. This montage not only contains the hand signed autographs of the two main protagonists but also bears the autograph of the fight referee Arthur Mercante. Beautifully framed and glazed this montage also includes the original button ( badge ) for the fight ironically proclaiming Frazier as “ The Greatest “. Whilst Frazier won this fight the next two battles including “The Thriller in Manila” were won by Ali. This is truly an amazing piece.
