After playing for 40 years in Major Golf Championships, the “Golden Bear” signed off his career at the 2005 Open Championship, fittingly at the home of golf; St. Andrews.
Appropriately the main sponsor, the Royal Bank of Scotland produced a special series of £5 notes. This one is hand signed by Jack and is beautifully framed including a photo of Mr Nicklaus on the Swilken Bridge. I was fortunate enough to be invited by RBS Bank as their corporate guest to this Open Championship and was gifted with this fine memento of the great man.
